Messi: "I would play even if they didn't pay me"

Leo Messi, in an interview with the magazine Maxim, has once again shown his passion for the game: "Even if they did not pay me I would always choose this profession ahead of any other".
"It is not a coincidence that the Barça players have very low-profile lives and we win things. We are footballers, not film stars. When we are not training or playing, we are at home with our families", he added.
Messi discussed how he likes to relax away from the pitch: "I like to play with my son or do other things like watching films or playing video games".
The Argentine also revealed who is most like a model in the Barça dressing room: "Gerard Piqué is really a 'fashion' type of guy and is the most used to posing like a model".
The star player also confirmed that for him "there is no rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo. He does what he wants to do and I am simply concentrated fully on winning with Barça".
Messi was also clear about what his objectives are this year: "We want to win titles in both Spain and Europe this season. It was sad how Tito Vilanova had to leave, but now we have a new coach. Every season is a new objective".
The Argentine also spoke about how he mentally approaches the game: "You can't waste time worrying about receiving heavy tackles. I play my own game and let the referees get on with theirs. I never try to look back at what I have achieved; I'll do that when I've retired".
